How to Do a Front Crown Braid
Step 1: Divide your hair into three sections. Create a clean part at the arch of each eyebrow. Clip all the hair on either of the middle section away.
Step 2: Brush out the middle section. Start breading at the back moving in the direction above right toward your face. When you get to your forehead, stop. Do not braid all the way down.
Step 3: Divide the unbraided hair into two new sections. Then clip one side off to the side behind your ear. Start braiding the loose section first. Use the basic three-strand brad technique. Pin it behind your ear. Repeat the same procedure with the other side.
Step 4: Prep the rest of your unbraided hair by doing a three-stand braid. Twist and pin the braid into a bun on the back or on one side of your head. Just make sure all the pins are secured and well hidden.
How to Do a Dutch Braid
Step 1: Separate your hair into three even sections. Start braiding the Dutch Braid.
Step 2: Use the technique of braiding the sections in a “left under, right under” pattern, weaving the left piece of hair under the piece in the center, then the right piece under the center one. Continue grabbing and adding small sections until you are done with the entire hair.
Step 3: Once you are done with braiding, secure the braid with a hair tip.
How to do a double side braid
Step 1: Take a one-inch section at your hairline. Separate it into three smaller sections.
Step 2: Create a French braid by adding hair from the root of both sides. Continue over right and over left as you braid along your hairline. Once you are done with the entire hair, secure the braid using a hair tie.
Step 3: Braid a second French braid about an inch behind the first one. Secure it with a hair tie.
Step 5: Secure both braids together.
How to Do a Fishtail Braid
Step 1: First brush your hair. Decide which side you want your braid on. Then split the hair into two even sections.
Step 2: Once you have done it, it is time to start braiding. A fishtail braid is actually made by bringing a piece of hair from one section over into the other. Take a small piece of hair from one section and bring it over and add it to the inside of the other section. Then repeat the same with a small part of the second section, and bring it to the inside of the first one. Repeat the same until you are done with the entire hair, or until you get the desired length of the fishtail braid.
Step 3: When you finish braiding the entire length of your hair, secure the braid with a hair tie. Once you secure the braid, pancake it by tugging small pieces of the braid so they loosen up and create an extra volume.
How to Do a Headband Crown Braid
Step 1: First, separate your hair down the middle into two even sections.
Step 2: Start with the left side. Take a handful of hair and separate it into three pieces. Following the Dutch-braid “left under, right under” mantra, braid your entire hair. At the top of the dead secure with a hair tip.
Step 3: Repeat the same with the right section of your hair. Wrap the right braid around your head on the opposite side (as you did with the left one). Make sure both left and right braids meet each other. Pint both braids together making them look like a headband crown braid.
