Creating the Perfect Easter Basket

Spring is here, and that means that itโ€™s almost time for Easter. Itโ€™s a time for family and friends to gather, and itโ€™s the most calm and meditative time of the year. Giving gifts is part of the tradition, although a symbolic gesture is generally much more powerful. There is no bigger symbol of Easter than the Easter Bunny and baskets. So, if you plan on meeting with your loved ones, you might want to create the perfect one.

Creating the Perfect Easter Basket

Figure out the basket

There is no Easter basket without a basket. Itโ€™s definitely the pillar that will make the entire presentation be what it is. There are many ways to go about it but for starters, you should figure out what size of basket you need. That mostly depends on what you plan tofill it with, but since theyโ€™re mostly for children or families, you canโ€™t go wrong with a larger one. The classic walnut is always a nice choice, as well as the white wicker, but pretty much everything works.

Start from the bottom

Decorating an Easter bunny basket-assorted from the ground up is the first step to making a perfect one. Think of it more like setting the foundation because everyone else comes out on top of it. You should always start with a liner, and if you want a more personalized touch, you might want to add a childโ€™s name on it. Shredded grass is a nice touch, as itโ€™ll add freshness to the basket. Since itโ€™s springtime, you want to use bright colours, so as to go with the theme of freshness, and maybe even add fresh flowers on the sides. White petals are always a great addition for any colour, tying a ribbon on the handle is a crucial final touch.

Filling it up

Choosing the filling of the basket mostly depends on whom youโ€™re giving it to. In most cases, candy and sweets are more than acceptable, especially if itโ€™s for children. However, sometimes, itโ€™s an even nicer idea to add an Easter Bunny on the top, so as to mark the season. Itโ€™s definitely a cute move. On top of that, you might want to add small, assorted decorations like the ones over on TheWorks to add the final touch.

Add an Easter card

The final step is mostly a sentimental one, but itโ€™s a gesture that will mean a lot. Easter cards are generally much more different and diverse than any other cards, as theyโ€™re almost always spiritual and in tune with the season. You can try to make it more personalized, too. Having a personal message from you to your loved ones is a great way to show your affection, and it will make the Easter basket feel complete. Since that is probably the first thing people are going to open from the basket, it should have a different colour than the rest of the basket.

Easter is a great time to be with friends and family. The humble Easter basket is mostly a symbolic gift but a powerful one nonetheless.
