It’s easy to pick up all types of bugs, and bacteria, such as norovirus and gastrointestinal ailments, can be caught from dirty surfaces and contaminated food.

Most cruise lines have alcohol wipes or antibacterial dispensers to help keep the ships clean. However, you should not rely just on what’s on the ship. If you get sick, it can ruin the trip for everyone, so don’t take chances ā€“ take along your own wipes.

  1. An Emergency Medicine Kit
