Fashion History Repeats-Velvet Is Back

Fashion repeats, is the sentence that I often hear from my mother. It is true, fashion repeats quickly. Velvet is like lost treasure in fashion history, but now it is found again. Ladies can enjoy this precious fabric that look so royal and expensive. Velvet has a sparkly note and it is so soft that you would never want to undress it. It is a fabric, comfortable but glamorous at the same time. Mostly, velvet dresses and skirts are favorites, but also velvet pants and jackets are popular among ladies.

Combining velvet clothes is not so simple but is very interesting. Velvet does not takes every fabric with it and is mostly worn with lace, silk and rarely wool. Velvet clothes are always strong colored and sparkly because the fabric itself has those characteristics. Typical colors for velvet are baby rose, light grey, dark red, dark green, dark blue and black. That doesn’t mean that velvet can never be strong rose or purple, baby blue, silver or gold, orange or yellow. I personally am so very happy that velvet is in trend again because I always liked my grandmothers velvet dresses and now I can wear them and be cool.
