They say your thirties are your new twenties, or at least, that’s what people tell you. That doesn’t stop many men from feeling apprehensive about reaching their 30’s though, and it’s a normal feeling.
Your life is changing, your body starts to change, and you’ll certainly be in a very different position when you finish your 30’s to when you started them. This is a positive thing, life wouldn’t be exciting if it never changed, and there is a lot to look forward to.
However, just because you’re turning 30 doesn’t mean you have to give up the looks of your 20’s, and there are lots of ways you can keep your youthful looks.
Full head of hair
One of the things that really starts to give away that guys are getting a bit older is hair loss. However, some men experience hair loss from a very early age, even in their late teens, which can make them look much older than they are.
The balding process isn’t irreversible, however, and you can get your hair back with a hair transplant. Technology has made this much more accessible in recent years, and it’s one of the quickest ways to get you looking like your youthful best.
Tooth Straightening
Crooked teeth might not have much to do with ageing, but for some reason, a straight set of teeth just makes a person look younger. If we pass our teenage years without getting our teeth properly straightened, we tend to give up on the idea, but this doesn’t have to be the case.
Dental technology has moved on amazingly, and you might be able to get your teeth straightened quickly and discreetly without having to have the traditional train track braces. Two awesome options for this are Invisalign and at-home clear aligners.
Start Workouts
Another tell-tell sign that you’re getting a little bit older is the classic beer belly. As we age, our metabolisms start to slow down, and this makes it harder to keep the weight off.
With a regular regime of exercise, though, you can boost your metabolism and help make it easier to avoid the “Dad Bod”. Some things might get easier as you get older, but unfortunately, keeping that perfectly trimmed body takes a bit more effort.
Change Your Diet
Exercise can only get you so far, and you need to back it up by eating a sensible diet. Eating the right foods can help you in so many areas when it comes to ageing. From keeping your weight down to younger-looking skin, and a more active mind, the food you eat can have a big effect.
Address Your Wardrobe
Sometimes it’s time to throw out some of your old, outdated clothes and get new ones in that reflect the new you. For many people, this is slightly more fun than hitting the gym and eating their vegetables!
As you enter your 30’s, it’s a great time to re-evaluate your style and update your wardrobe accordingly. You’ll find you have lots of clothes you don’t use anymore, and it’s a good opportunity for a clear-out.
